we built the app we needed.
three bad roommate experiences. all from the same source.

“after my third bad roommate experience in bangalore, i knew the problem wasn’t bad luck. it was a broken process.”
hemanth mahesh · founder, matchpod
moving to bengaluru alone is the rite of passage for a generation — a new job, a new city, and a roommate decided by a craigslist post or a broker’s spreadsheet. the flat is the easy part. the person is what makes or breaks the year.
matchpod flips the order. we match on the things you actually have to live with — budget, sleep schedule, cleanliness, who has a room and who needs one — so the first message is to someone who already fits.
we’re building this in bengaluru, for bengaluru, with real users from koramangala, hsr layout, indiranagar, and whitefield. find your person first. the address follows.
values we don’t compromise on.
person before property
we match on the human first. the listing comes second, always.
safe by default
block, report and unmatch are first-class features, not buried settings.
local, not generic
built for hsr, indiranagar, koramangala. not a copy-paste of a us app.
honest, not salesy
we talk like a friend who’s done this — not a brochure.
from idea to live app.
