filters
structured, machine-read, non-negotiable. budget, area, room status, deal-breakers.
how matchpod. works
no magic, no vibes-based algorithm. here's the whole mechanism, in order.
THE METHOD
no mystery loop. three steps, each with a clear job.
twenty questions, no essays. when you sleep, how loud your sunday is, where you stand on dishes-in-the-sink, what you can actually afford.
two prompts do the heavy lifting: my flat is happiest when… and you'll get along with me if… filters find candidates. these find people.
we score compatibility, you talk in the app, you decide. then you go find a flat together — which, with the right person, is the easy part.
THE INPUT
short, specific answers about the shared routines that cause real friction.
the hours you keep on weekdays and the version that appears on sunday.
not whether you are ‘clean’. what can stay out, for how long, before it becomes a problem?
shared groceries, separate shelves, daily cooking or one emergency pan.
how often, how late and whether a heads-up is enough.
inside, outside, socially, never — the answer matters more than the label.
already living with one, happy to, allergic to, or firmly not for this flat.
one laptop at the table is different from two calls in the living room all day.
traffic, music, calls, gaming and the blender at 7am.
the rent you can pay without spending the rest of the month resenting the flat.
whether you are bringing a room, looking for one, or starting from zero together.
TWO BUCKETS
filters narrow the field. your own words make somebody stop and read.
structured, machine-read, non-negotiable. budget, area, room status, deal-breakers.
unstructured, human-read. the two prompts. this is where people stop being rows in a table.
the result
matchpod. shows the overall compatibility and the categories behind it, so you know what lines up and what is worth discussing.

AFTER THE MATCH
we don't take a cut of your rent and we're not a broker. you find the flat yourselves, or with whoever you like. matchpod. ends when you've found your person — that's the point.
ask about the bits a score cannot carry. work hours, furniture, move-in dates, bad habits.
coffee before keys. tell someone where you are going and do not rush a deposit.
use any listing site, broker or group you trust. make the flat call as a pair.
ASKED OFTEN
yes. making a profile, seeing matches and talking in the app are free.
for now, yes. a match who lives across the country is not useful when your office is on sarjapur road.
say that when you join. we match people who have a room with people who need one, and we keep the compatibility questions exactly the same.
profiles are checked through the verification steps shown in the app. always meet in public first, ask direct questions and never send a deposit to someone you have not verified yourself.
yes. lives change, work shifts change and budgets move. update your answers and your future matches will use the new version.
unmatch and tell us why if you want to. compatibility narrows the field; it does not sign a lease for you.
no. matchpod. finds the person. you find the flat together on any listing site, through a broker, or through the community.
when we can make one area dense enough to be useful. add your city on the neighbourhoods page and we will know where the pull is coming from.
